General informations: The Bengalo Thoroughbred (also called Bengali steed) is a fast and enduring horse build for speed and endurance in some of the most unforgiving places of Earth. Origin and history: Known for being fast, but frugal horses that are able to carry their riders over long distances under any circumstances. Hot weather, food shortage or rough terrain, nothing should discourage this horse! The moment in history when this line started to be distinguished from the Marwari horse is not well documented. The admiration of the Bengali steeds and their importance in the culture of the Indian populations shows the pedestal in which the horse has been placed has existed for long.
